I have been active my whole life. From growing up farming, ranching, and hunting to doing PT in the US Army and chasing around my wife and five kids! I have tried everything from traditional weight room movements to various late night infomercial workout products to stay in shape and ready for life. Unfortunately everything I have done never stuck with me and left me feeling like I needed something more. I found CrossFit in 2014 and it changed my life without me even knowing it! I fell in love with the constantly variable high intensity workouts, but more than that, I fell in love with the sense of community that is CrossFit. Going through a great workout with friends and family or total strangers cheering each other on is something I could never get tired of!

  • Rowing Coach

Luna Is Co-Owner of CrossFit Onion Creek, A Realtor, and our Indoor Rowing Coach.

She is a mother to five beautiful children, and loves to do welding artwork in her spare time.

Luna found that rowing is one of her favorite fitness platforms. Even though it is low impact on your body, it can be one of the hardest and most invigorating workouts.

Always putting the athlete first, she will help you take your fitness to the next level.

I emigrated from Germany to the United States in 2011. Over about one year I gained over 65 pounds while living the American Dream and enjoying all the great foods of this wonderful country.

At that point I knew I had to change something. While previously playing High school Basketball and following my dream to become a professional I broke my shoulder and had to have surgery twice. This turned into a huge struggle going forward as I was handicapped doing most of the sports I enjoyed including Snowboarding, Basketball, Volleyball and Weightlifting. In 2012 I was introduced to CrossFit and was very skeptical in the beginning as I was scared of complex movements and heavy weights (Trust me when you find out how long shoulder surgery takes to recover you know why I was scared).

I started slow and with of course light weights. SURPRISE it worked! No pain, my mobility started to come back or get better and my whole body dynamic started to change. In 2013 I was back at 200 lbs. and only 13% body fat coming from 265 lbs. I fell in love with CrossFit and the community and wanted to get better so I decided to get my Level 1 certification. Not just for me and knowledge but also to give back to the community.

In 2016 we moved to Dripping Springs TX and I joined CrossFit Onion Creek as athlete as well as coach. I am in my 4th year as CrossFit coach and still love it. I have a bachelor’s degree from Friedrich List University of Ulm in Germany with a focus on Economics and Finance and work for BB&T Bank as Private Adviser in Austin. I earned my US Citizenship in June of 2016, which I consider one of my greatest accomplishments. My wife Tina and I have a beautiful son, Ryder James. We enjoy our off time living in Dripping Springs where we tend chickens, bees, and dogs while trying to stay fit every day at 5:30am at the Box.

A father to 2 beautiful young ladies and a husband to a loving wife. A United States Marine Corps Veteran with a passion to help guide anyone willing to make a healthy life style change. I have been part of fitness for over 30 years from my time spent in the Marine Corps training with my comrades, regular glamour muscle gym action, powerlifting, personal training and now CrossFit. CrossFit has taken its place in my heart when I became a member of a fitness family (all members) that embraced all types and all ages and helped all get better. After having experienced and understanding the health and fitness foundation of CrossFit I had to become a coach and be part of the blessing. Coaching CrossFit is a growing passion of mine the more I see our members come through the doors and DECIDE to take that next positive step of their day knowing it will be challenging but also knowing that their positive lifestyle change is also our goal. CrossFit Onion Creek is here for you. You decide when Later becomes Now!
